03 coupe driver window problem

i seem to be posting alot of questions lol but my 2003 g35 coupe driver side window is having an issue with the Auto Window feature... so i read in the manual there is a sensor that can detect if something is in the way of the window rolling up.. and if so it will roll the window back down about 25 percent of the way... well it seems this feature is tweaking out... everytime i roll the window all the way up.. it auto rolls back down... but there is NOTHING in the way of the window... the passenger side window feature is completely fine... does anyone have any idea what the issue could be and how to fix??? any advice greatly appreciated... thank you

Does it also roll down when you try to roll it up using the passenger controls?

If the driver side and the passenger side is giving you the same results, then I would start looking for a wiring diagram of the window system and see if there is a sensor in there somewhere.

the problem is only with the driver side... not the passenger side.... the passenger side rolls up and stays up.. just the driver side will roll back down... and its not 100 percent of the time actually.... id say about 80 percent of the time it will roll back down and 20 percent it will stay up.. its weird...

If that is the case, then I will put my money on that your control box on your drivers side needs to be replaced.

Wrong. What you need to do is reset the window motor.

The driver side window motor needs to be replaced. I just replaced mine a month ago.

When you bang on the door does it stop tweaking or rolls back up fine?

Mine does this too! It's common. Google this issue and you'll see several write his on how to fix this. I plan on doing mine when I'm off Sunday. I'd post links but currently I'm using my phone. Good luck.

Yea, I had this problem before too (happens every so often, not constant tho) Turns out you have to reset the motor...
To do it i think you have to take of the inner panel and there like a button/switch that resets it
