installing APS performance intake manifold any thoughts and suggestions

Just got the part and gaskets APS tall boi performance intake manifold bout to install myself . The stock manifold is garbage hardly any room for air mass and its un even airflow.the front cylinders dont get as much air mass *** the back cylinders because of the slanted top plenum. Its all bolt on so i shouldnt have a problem . Anybody ever swap out there stock manifold i should gain 10 to 12and hp

Major difference in the manifold i put it on and all went well. At first it didnt throw on a service engine soon light and my idle was up a bit but then it warmed up and drop to normal idle. Major difference in response and acceleration but for some odd reason the declaration when i take it out of gear it shoots up a 300rpms and the drops normally i dont knw if its a vacumm line or just the engine adjusting to the difference in air mass . Maybe cuz its a stock throttle body and intake but idk any thoughts or suggestions

Checking the SES error code would be a great place to begin, sounds like vacuum leak. I got the same reaction by installing MotorDynes 1/2" spacer ISO (less the error code) and it cost considerably less than your intake manifold....Gary

10 bucks says you got part of the rubber where the oil fill is stuck between the mating surfaces.I did the first time i put it on and it is easy to do and correct.

Naw lol i had to reset the ecu and the throttle body position i torqued everything right in order the reset fixed the problem it idles fine now and doesnt spike up 300rpms when i shift so its good thanks to those guys who posted their thread on their plenum spacer problem they posted a link to the motordyne spacer manuel i love this G35 forum it teaches you alot and helps so much thank God.
My cars runs way better my response is better all thru out the powerband my mpgs are significantly higher when cruising the freeway i get 28 to 30mpgs. 19-21 on street. I also put test pipes and ripedus out the cats. So its breathing alot better. I got both parts for 300$ the intake manifild was only used for 2000miles
