I doubt if it can be repaired to look like it did, sand it lightly and reclear for a custom look....Gary

What my shop did to fix the chip on my splitter was fill it with fiberglass, sand, and re-clear it. But my chip was only like .5" x .5" big, nothing like yours, lol. So you can't really tell its there. You might be SOL.

or was it a rock?

mine is the exact same way... i dont think it was the rock because if the splitter isnt bolted down with many screws the splitter will get pushed down and scrape it making it look like that.

How fast were you going?

It can be repaired but whoever does it might have to wrap the whole thing in CB again for it to look right. The easiest thing would be to repair it (fiberglass) and then paint the whole thing black, it will still look good on your car.

No no I swear it was some random *** rock in the middle of the highway at night. I was only going 65.

I would assume sanding it down and reclearing it would be the cheap option. But how much would repairing it with glass run me?

Know what, this is what I get for putting something that cost me 200 buckos and putting it on my front bumper barely 3 inches from the ground

That's one reason I don't really like having anything made of fiberglass in the front of the car. The splitter looks like it's made of fiberglass and then they wrapped it. Would have fared better if it was made of a different material.

Damn, that's pretty cool. But that's an insane amount of work and probably weighs 20+lbs. Even if that hit a rock, the splitter itself would fare better, but it'd still probably demolish the cf wrap over it and require a full re-cover.
