Car going into "safe mode"...

A few months ago, I posted how my driver seat would randomly tilt or move backward without my using the switches, then when I tried to move it back, the switch was dead.

Well, now it's either worse or a new issue.

Driving home from work, the auto lights kicked in, and my dash flickered. A few miles later, the dash lit full up (like when you start the car) and manual mode turned into D.

So I drove home in 3rd gear, no shifting happened at all.

Pulled into the driveway, turned the car off and tried to restart. Nothing. No lights, nothing. **** wouldn't turn at all, no power getting anywhere. 30 minutes later tho, the car fired right up and all was good.

I have the Gordon Gee grounding kit, installed it a a year ago (15k miles). Going to go over that whole thing as well as take the seat out and check the switches.

Probably hit the dealer as well, for a full diagnostic unless anyone has any ideas.

Thanks guys.

Could the fact I have 275/35's on the rear and less than half tread on the front 225/40's have anything to do with VDC and shutting the car down?

Is the ECU resetting each time i can't restart the car?

The 2007 with Bose doesn't have the radio/AC issue, right?

Sounds like your car is freaking out.. this may be a dumb suggestion but i would check out your alternator. It may be going out... Your ecu will freak if it's not getting the voltage it needs..

We did a battery test last night, 550 CCA, 12.65 car off, 14.73 car running.

No variations or spikes turning lights on, etc.

We tightened the terminals, negative was slightly loose. Hoping that I hit a bump and it altered the connection enough to cause the issue.

Hoping.

Thanks for the advice.
