Mine would be roughly 250miles per tank, 95% city driving.

 

about 300 miles per tank, one tank every 5-7 days. Mostly highway driving @ 80-100mph.

 

dude, youre complaining about a sports car getting 13 mpg and trying to save money by buying another sports care? are you nuts?

if you want something sporty and better on gas maybe a s2000? you'll lose 2 seats and space but hey, you're the one asking for a cheap fast sports car... or get something slower and smaller like a rsx. but you're gonna sacrifice something. either seats, space, or speed

 

just a bit over 300 miles on a tank for me. like most posters have said, if youre sticking to freeway driving, it isn't bad. i moved into a G from an Acura TSX and noticed a dramatic difference obviously. i think you wont be seeing the difference you're hoping you might.

 

I would comment on mpg, but my gas gauge is so inaccurate i can only conclude somewhere between 5-25 haha

Mileage is terrible. If you live somewhere cold and you do short trips, you'll see 15-17. If you do a lot of highway driving you might get a little over 20. The only things I would change about my G would be the mileage (obviously), the squeaks, brake wear, interior quality and exhaust. Even though it sounds good, it's not stainless so it can and will rot and develop holes.

 

Get the G, you're going to love the handling compared to what you have now on your 01 GT. I had an 04 GT and even after installing subframe connectors it didn't handle anywhere near how my G handles. The exhaust sound might not be as nice as a GT with a MAC catback system (which is what I had), but they still sound ok.

 

My mileage has always been terrible, city or highway, doesn't really matter if I floor it all the time or not. I used to see about 15-17 (I've only been supercharged for the last year out of almost 7 years of owning this car). I know some people get really good mileage out of their Gs, but if you are looking to upgrade from 13 mpg, I wouldn't suggest this car.

 

I still get over 300miles out of every tank and I do get on it once in a while, on my 04 GT I would get about 220 at the most.

 

I could get 300 to the tank too if I ran it dry, still works out to 15 mpg

 

I didn't say 300 flat, I always get over 300, and the most I've ever put in my car is 16 gallons (I always pay with a debit car and fill the car up). I also like resetting the trip computer when I fill up to see how many miles it goes before I have to fill up again. I haven't been able to measure this lately because I've disconnected the battery a couple of times in the last couple of weeks when doing little mods to the car.

The average is around 20mpg for this car, so I would consider that an upgrade from 13mpg. Your car just like zipping on gas!

 

If your car do 0-60mph in 4.6 sec don't complaint about gas milage, make sure you have enogh for the finish line

 

Yeah, you have to reset the trip computer after you fill up to gauge accurage MPG. Not really sure how you are calculating MPG, but next time you fill up, do the trip reset , then when you get gas again, divide the miles driven by the exact number of gallons put in. If you are getting say 310 miles on 16 gallons, that works out to 19.4 mpg. If you are trying to imply that the average g35 driver gets between 320 to almost 400 miles on a full tank, you are mistaken. I'm happy for you and anyone else who gets great mileage in their G35 ( I used to get 17.5 myself) , but the average real world mpg is lower than 20 for certain, if we are going by all the threads on here about mileage. And yes, my car drinks gasoline like there's no tomorrow.

 

There things that may help with gas milage:make sure to install k&N air filter and make sure is clean all the time, replace gas filter for racing once, use injector cleaniner avery 3 month, and maintain rpm under 4,000 in high way. Also make sure your ac radiator is clean all the time. and if you can install headthers on it. The colder the air in your engine the better compretion you will get...
