Brakes lock up until turn vdc off

New G owner. Finally. I have searched the forums and couldn't find someone with this problem. When you first start the car and turn out of a parking spot the car applies the brakes i think and it locks up. It will keep doing this until the vdc and slip lights come on. If you turn off the vdc and drive straight until the slip light comes on it doesn't do it just makes a noise. You can still feel it slightly in the pedal. I was told it might be the ball joints, or maybe the hub assembly. Any ideas?

Mine does the same thing bro. From what I understand check out the steering angle sensors (or something like that). I've been dealing with it till I get an alignment and new rear tires. I've only read one other thread that sort of relates to our issue and it pointed toward the steering angle sensors.

^^ yep, probably the steering angle sensor, which needs to be reset/re-learned at the dealership. I had my steering rack replaced (incorrectly, as I found out), and this was the only way to fix the issue. Even getting a fully alignment (at the time the rack was replaced) didn't help - since the car thinks the steering wheel is turned but knows (via accelerometers) the car is traveling straight. This makes the VDC system thinks the car is slipping/skidding.

Found out what the problem was. The steering angle sensor was bad so got that replaced. Also the cone spacer where the control arm is bolted on was bad. Everything is good now. Finally can move to the performance mods. :-)

How much did it cost you to fix it?
