Clutch pedal sticking on 6 MT 06 g35 coupe

Hello G members,

My 06 coupe has this on an off problem with my clutch peddel. It happens randomly and have tried to do some research and haven't found much. Basically when i go to shift sometimes my clutch peddel sticks and i literally have to put my foot under the clutch peddel to bring it back up. Has anyone else had this probelm? At first i thought it was my master cylinder, When i had my local mechanic take a look at it he said everything seems ok. Considering draining my clutch fluids out. Any other thoughts? Could it be a early sign on my clutch going out?

Thanks,
Josh

Is it actually sticking or is the pedal going limp? If it's limp, you'll know what I mean. From what you described, the pedal is getting stuck and you're able to pop it back up to normal operation.

Common issue. Occurs frequently on hot days. Try replacing clutch fluid. If condition persists, replace clutch slave cylinder. Oh, and trying SEARCHING. Topic has been covered many times.

Clutch Pedal Sticking....old news!

Ok josh, you have 37 posts so you're almost new....this sticky clutch subject has been discussed once or twice a week for close to 10 years! Doing a SEARCH would have given you the answers you're looking for so you didn't really do much research! We had a member two days ago with the same issue, you're not alone....Gary

Go to youtube and search RANGER PROTOCOL. Your problem will probably be fixed if you just change the clutch fluid. All you need is a turkey baster and DOT4 fluid if I'm not mistaken.

I had this exact problem and now its fixed! I changed my clutch fluid and changed my slave cylinder. The part wasn't too pricey either, around $90 CAD. Hope this ends your search, because when I had this issue, it took me a long time to find info.

Dot 4 fluid + pipette + 5 minutes will fix the issue

It would be preferable to change all the clutch fluid, not just what is contained in the resevoir. DOT3 is fine.

I stressed over this once and searched around. If its a hot day and you got ac on it can get sticky due to humidity and basically stick on the last bit of release. But if its sticking down on the floor...well thats something different all together. Possibly fluid needed badly or a slave cylinder.
