new g35 coupe owner

i recently bought a 2004 g35 black coupe. was wondering what the best cheap upgrades are. im thinking headlight blackouts? cold air intake? any suggestions would be appreciated

well i have a black coupe. i really dont know what i want to do yet. performance or cosmetically. wann stay under the 500 dollar range for now

welcome to driver. don t recommend getting blackouts..better yet paint or have them painted black and as far as intakes id go with injen imo.

intake should be around 300.00 and headlights can be done for cost of paint if you read the DIY..if u were local i could do them for about 75.00.

do you notice a difference from the intake? and i saw some black out peel offs that you just stick on the headlight on amazon?

the peel offs simply make the whole headlight black,lense and all. having them painted allows the lense to remain clear with the shrouds being black..its a cleaner,classier look.As far as intakes you wont really see a huge difference,but the sound you get is worth the money if youre remaining NA for a while.

yeah..can do in a couple hours..just search the forum for the DIY..you can use regular rattle can paint..just be sure to sand the shrouds good before you paint and be easy with them,they crack easily. id use a 600 gritt then progress with an 800 gritt to finish them....hardest part is removing front bumper

might be a fun day project. now what about navigation. i have a stock audio system with no navi. any suggestions ?

im in the market for one myself..ive heard good things about kenwood but i dont know much on the subject.wish i could b more help..i may try and upgrade to an 07 head unit with the navi.

i have an 04, if i found like an 04 head unit, do you think itd be hard to install?

prob not,although ive never done one myself..most swapped parts and upgrades are plug and play for the G's
