Add Snow in South TExas to the list. We haven't had snow in over 100 years.6-8 inches of snow in south texas!!!

just FYI a tsunami is triggered by a seismic event, not a weather event. =)

it is triggered by an underwater earthquake.

Only partially true - Tsunamis can also be triggered by big landslides.

The Lituya Bay tsunami was calculated to be over 1600 feet tall!!!!

Tsunamis triggered by landslides are MUCH bigger than the ones caused by earthquakes. The Hawaiian islands have had several (many thousands of years ago) that were still hundreds of feet high when they hit the shores of Asia.

Some time in the future that the island of Las Palmas in the Canary Islands will suffer a huge landslide that will send a gigantic tsunami crashing into the east coast of the USA. And it's not a question of if, it's a question of when and how (big.)
