Howdy

While driving my 03 G35 coupe this morning, the engine cut-off. All of the electrical systems were still on...I didn't immediately notice the engine was off until I pushed the gas and nothing happened. Steering and braking were tight, like I'd expect if the engine was off. The car started back almost immediately when I turned the key.

Last night, I had a similar issue, but the electrical systems in the car all went dark. All of the interior lighting, radio, and AC cutoff. The engine was still running, and all of the electrical turned back on a second or so later.

I'm not able to reproduce either problem. Electrical has been fine and the engine didn't cut off again this morning.

Any ideas what might be causing this? Ignition switch going bad maybe? Or something else?

I'm going to take it to my local shop today but they didn't have much of an idea when I called them eariler.
