To each their own........

But painting oem wheels is just tacky IMO. I hate the trend of painting/powdercoating/polishing oem wheels. I like oem, but then they should stay oem.

OEM wheels are painted to begin with, so what's the difference in painting them a different color? Especially if you're going for a specific color scheme for the entire car? That's like saying you shouldn't paint your car a different color than it came in because it has OEM body pieces. lol

Side note, I think black wheels look best on a white, black, or red car. I don't think that particular color car would look that great with them.

lol. Of course the wheels come painted, so what? IN MY OPINION, changing the color of an oem wheel is just plain tacky. If I wanted to do anything besides OEM, I would just buy a set of nice rims. Like I said, to each their own; if you cant afford rims or dont want to purchase a set for whatever reason; do what you want, I dont have anything vested in your car.

As far as your analogy.... Really? Exterior body paint versus oem wheels? Its a sucky analogy, where would you stop? Sure, I can paint my house whatever I want even though it already comes a certain color. I can paint my shoes. I can paint my face. Buuut, painting oem wheels is still tacky to me. Sorry. *shrug*

Nice choice. Hopefully you plan on lowering it too. There's nothing wrong with painting the OEM wheels as long as its done professionally, and not one of the plain colors you'd find in a Crayola box. On your car the wheels look fine as is.

Hi, I am also a new owner of a G35, I think dropping it and getting it tinted, would look really nice.

Hey Jhambor,

I saw the pics of your ride. I was looking to do some spacers for my G. I have the factory 19" package. Which ones did you get and about how much do they go for? Will I need to buy new studs? Thanks.

I always think the first few exterior mods should be clear corners, black grille, and tint. Oh, and debadge the "INFINITI" and "G35" from the trunk. Really easy and cheap.
