You're gonna need extensions. MD tips sit really tucked.

How long do I need to make the extensions? How many inches to sit flush?

I'm gonna have some fabricated this week. I would think about 1.5 inches. The tips can be adjusted to your liking via the 3 Allen bolt adjustment screws.

If they are adjustable then why would you need extensions?

Because on my driver side, there physically is not enough piping. It needs about 1.5 inches more piping to be adjustable to my liking.

The picture I posted above is the drivers side adjust out as far as it will possibly go.

I've seen a few people who have the same issue. So it seems fairly wide spread. You think Motordyne would fix this issue after being asked the same question after every exhaust purchase.

Well which part of the exhaust is short on the driver side? Muffler portion?

The axle back portion. The passenger side is prefect. The people who have had this issue have all complained about the drivers side.

So then your passenger tip can sit nicely but not your driver side

Yeah. The passenger side will sit perfectly, with the burnt part showing just a little. I had to adjust it back so it would match the drivers side.

Then I may not need extensions right? I'll just adjust the tips to go as far out to where the burnt is barely showing

If yours is the same as mine, which there is a high chance it will be, you will need a drivers side extension. The passenger side tip will slide out about 1.5 inches farther than the drivers side.

Dam. Extensions don't mess with the sound or performance?
