It's just Plasti-Dip. That stuff comes right off. You can actually peel it off of stuff if you try without much effort, and Goo-Gone will take care of the rest without harming whatever surface is beneath it.


I think that came out surprisingly well for a cheap DIY application.

Yeah there's a lot of youtube videos and forums where people do this and, if it ever gets old, peel it off and start all over with a different color.

ive been wondering if i should do it or not.. i also got ip..might do it this weekend..

how many coats of the gold did u use?

For a simple DIY that came out pretty well. I would have taken the wheels off to do this but overall it doesn't look bad.

Looks pretty good. Anyone know how the gold oem wheels would look on a DG?

i think Gold looks looks good on most car color but if doesnt look good if you have the gold brembo brakes.

How long is plasti dip supposed to last? I've been thinking about doing my wheels in purple.

e: also I think the gold looks good, goes well with white.

buy 3 can should be enough...

4 coat each maybe...

i heard that they are really durable.. but who cares, its cheap...i might change color of my once per year...

Like others have stated- it looks good for a quick DIY. Next time, take the wheels off the car though.
