no a shop would have to install it. you could try to find a used engine fs. or you can just switch to cheap oil sence it doesent matter what kind you use and keep filling it up like most ppl do.

you have to keep adding oil between changes. so you should get back 5 quarts.

i wouldnt go adding oil yet as u have been changing it at 5k which isnt what is recommended... id recommend doing ur oil change asap and then changing the oil at 3k miles without adding any oil in between..see where ur at when that time comes..3k miles is what you should be changing your oil at

if he doesent add oil between changes his engine will hate him. you can easily just keep checking the dip stick and remember how much you put in compared to how much is on the dip stick when you check it.

You have a slight OC problem but using Mobile 1 makes it worse.

and why wouldent you get 5 quarts back. the residue from the last oil change is still in there as well, so what your trying to say is every time you put in 5 quarts you only get4.5 back? where is that .5 going then?

for his comparison sake he should take my advice, if he just wants to keep up on oil sure add oil...he is changing his oil at 5k which is the first mistake..i say do an oil change and then at 3k miles after change the oil and see what you got..if its a half a quart low or a quart low its no biggie, more than that then i would be concerned..

i wont get into a stupid debate with someone who wants to pretend to know something..ive been around these cars for some time my man..see how many times u get exactly 5 quarts back out and lemme know...all cars use a little oil and there is no way u are going to get an exact 5 quarts back out..my answer was about 4 and 1/2 not exactly 4 and 1/2..i guess if you take the time to let every drop run out and jack the car up so that u get every drop and then empty out ur oil filter and dont spill one drop on the ground during this whole process you could get close ...most real case scenario's dont go that way
