need new exhaust system that doesnt cost more then my kidney!

Hey guys!
So my downpipe is on its way out and I was thinking of getting a catback dual exhaust. I saw many post about the x02 and saw some good prices on other exhaust on ebay. I don't want to spend a lot like those hks and stellin. Please let me know what you think or should I just repair the downpipe instead.
Thanks in advance!

I have the M2 Performance exhaust (HKS Replica). Its a decent exhaust for the money and sounds great. I have a few videos on youtube of the exhaust. Check them out just search VQ35drivers on youtube and you will see it. Hope I helped.

If you're on a budget just swap out the cats for test pipes and call it a day man

Motordyne ART pipes are gangster, but $$... If you just want some non resonated straight pipes get whatevers cheapest, but they will stink and have some rasp as well as probably throw a CEL until you get an uprev reflash. Should be able to pick up a set for under $150.

What about the emission ? Will that be the problem? My muffler is the one that need to be replace and the test pipe can take its place?

Would defoulers work to remove the CEL? I did the defouler trick to my RSX before. Bought it at pepboys for 4 bux each.

You could buy a HKS knockoff but don't expect much. Test pipes are a bad idea, your exhaust have terrible rasp. ART pipes, you'll have stinky exhaust! Consider HFCs, 48 state legal and way less restriction than the OE cats along with a cool sound. Remember you get what you pay for....Gary

Ok you can disregard what I said about the test pipes, when you said downpipe I thought you were referring to the cats.. no need to put in test pipes if thats not what's bad.

If you want to keep it stock I'd look around on craigslist or the local forum, lots of guys spending the big cash and upgrading the full cat back and will let their oem exhaust go for cheap.

Other than that its all about your budget, but gary's perfectly right in that you do get what you pay for so keep that in mind when you see a full cat back for $300 shipped off ebay...
