Question 2003 G35 Electrical Issues

Firstly

Let me apologize if this has been covered before, but I only found what I would consider variants of this problem.

Cold start in the AM. The car starts fine, headlights on, Radio playing.

The console and dash lights, radio lights, the compass and temperature lights are off.
The radio volume and channel switches on the steering wheel all work normally.

Headlights are on, dome and courtesy lights come on.

I checked all the fuses visually, front and back lit both, with no obvious faults. I will check continuity after I get done.

The car is factory equipped with the Bose system upgrade from the factory.

The car has been doing this occasionally for the last several years. It would always come back on with a shutoff and restart.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

an electical diagram would be a good place to start. trace the faulty components to a common point, maybe a relay.

yes, start from battery... most likely a relay in power circuit.
