New member here from Cali. Hello

I got a question and hopefully you guys can help me make up my mind. I am looking for a work car and my wife said we can buy another Inifniti if I want. We have an 06 M45 but it's not our work car. Anyway, I told my wife I'll look into a G35 coupe 6spd. I have read about the OC on these cars that are on the 05+ models. Do I really have to get the first gen to avoid the OC problems, what if I change my oil sooner than expected. Would that help? I'd hate to look for the first gen only because the interior isn't as good as the newer ones and it's most likely going to have high miles. Keep in mind that, the car will be driven everyday for work. Thanks for taking the time to read my post, I hope somebody can help me decide on what to do. Should I just buy a first gen or can I get away with the OC problem by changing oil sooner or add when needed on the 05+ models or should I look at something else besides Infiniti?

thanks,
Jeff

I have an 06 and had Infiniti replace the motor under warranty. Just request the service records for the car before you buy it, they might have replaced the motor already.

Wouldn't the new motor sooner or later have the same problem, or did they fix it?
