German Castrol 0w-30 not available, what next?
Thanks for the replies. There is Castrol at the American facilities here in the UK, but its in 5w-30 or 10w-30. No made in Germany or European Formula. Only the ones that said made in the USA.
Again, no autozones here. Even if there was an autozone or different store its way way expensive. We are talking $15 to $20 a quart. That's $75-100 in just oil without the filter. Just like everything else in the UK, things are not cheap. Also, if you have an oil consuming G that means you'd be using a lot more quarts at those prices as well. So if you guys had the choice to buy GC at those prices would you? Or would you go with the Mobil 1 0w-40, Pennzoil Platinum, or Castrol (Made in USA) oil priced at $6.50 to $8.00.
When I read the spec sheets from the Castrol site it talked about the USA line up of Castrol products. Could the new (Made in the USA) 0w-30 be the same as the GC that everyone is using? The specs look the same so that's why I'm asking. Thanks for you all the posts.

if your car burned too much with PP.. i would go 0w-40 M1
So while these are oil analysis from VQ motors, and while each person will get slightly different results, this can be seen as a guideline when comparing oils that you would use on a VQ motor. But would these wear patterns be similar in different motors? Anybody know? I would assume they would be the same.
