Starter Question

I just replaced my battery and believe I have a starter issue. Is there anyone with some knowledge on factory vs aftermarket starters? I'm gonna replace mine tomorrow but I'm not sure if there's that much of a difference in quality or price. Thanks

Aftermarket usually in lower price but the quality is unsure.
Starter is the very important part of your G so that I advise you to buy the factory one (unless you want to crazy with it when it can't work)

The starter is not something that goes bad often so you should be fine with OEM, provided there even is aftermarket starters available.

I just recenty replaced my OEM starter. I have 157K miles on my G and its been doing this random loud grinding sound at start-up. Sometimes it would happen multiple times in a row. Its the kind of like the sound you hear when your engine is already on and you try to start a car. Anyway, I found a vendor on ebay and purchased on there. Cost me around $95 or so. Haven't had any problems since. Don't know how much a stock one would cost, but I think you won't have any problems with an aftermarket starter. Mine is working perfect now.
