Question Engine interchange confused 03 to 04

Seriously confused.... Wanted to get this 04 g35 coupe motor production date 10/03 with my 03 coupe being production 04/03. Called the dealership and they said its not interchangeable since its giving different part numbers for the motor. I thought 03 to 04 was straight swap till later/mid 2004.5s came out. What is so different?

Seriously don't know how the dude at the dealer couldn't tell me the differences in motors. I'm sure there might be something slightly different. Im just tired of the G sitting in the drive way with the motor blown, time to get her back on the road.

Well the dealer will look at his parts book and of course it will have different part #'s cause its a diff year but **** he should know its the same damn motor.
