Looking at buying an 05
First choice Lakeshore Slate with (DAMN no Graphite) Wheat leather. Are you feeling the Wheat? Would Stone look better in that color combo?

Okay second choice is Athens Blue in Graphite.
Anyone?

Coupe or Sedan?
Okay here's my thing -
1) Married with 1 kid
2) long commute with only me
3) Sedan has that cool keyless touch entry gadget
4) Car has to be AT anyways cause wife can't drive 6MT or any MT in that case (we won't get into that debate here )
5) Do I want to use this car for real estate job when I get into it?
6) I'm still pretty young (29 and YES all you early 20's people, 29 is still young! hahahaha)
7) Money is not really an issue between coupe and sedan
So WHAT TO DO

 

I'd say go for what you want the most. Go with your instincts. Hey if you will be an real esate agent, you may make your clients happy sitting in a sexy coupe! haha!
You have 1 kid so they coupe rear seats are perfect.

If you will be driving it most of the time, I'd say go for what you want. (6MT man...)

 

Go for the Coupe- more fun, more looks!

Interior depends on where you live- graphite is too hot (even with tinted windows) in a place with a lot of sun like Florida. If you live in a cold climate go with the graphite.

 

First thing that comes to mind is buy the coupe, until i got to the real estate part of your comment. You can't cram clients into the backseat of a coupe, someones gonna be cramped ;o So i say go for the awd sedan, they look very nice in all black IMO

I would say the sedan to be practical. You have a child and sometimes they take friends with them(depending on age) It is easier to put stuff in the back anytime. If you are using it to show clients property, there is no way a client wants to be climbing into the back (they are not always agile) The G does not have a vey big trunk, sometimes you have to put extra things in the back.

If there was just 2 of you with no kids or pets, and you were not using it for business, I would say get the coupe.

in your case i would agree with the sedan in case you have more kids. i would hate to climb into the back seat if i were a kid. and you're a in real estate so i dont think its a smart idea to have so many people in the back seat. coupe can hold 4 and sedan can hold 5. on the color thing i think stone is dead sexy. i saw it in person i really liked it and im thinking of getting it. lakeshore slate looks really nice for the exteririor.

I'd say coupe but focker is right....no way clients will want to climb into the back seat. They'll admire the hell out of the car but when you put them back there....you'll have problems.

I have 2 kids (11 and 4) and drive the coupe. My daugther (11) loves sitting back there. Luckily, wife is a SUV person and drives a Jeep so no problems there...what is the wife's car?

 

Dude!!!! OMG!! I read your "extra" info and started howling!!!! My wife is the same as yours can't or should I say won't drive a MT! She actually went with me to a parking lot to drive my grand-am and the loaner Mini we had... Man she was awesome never stalled once and got the hang of it right away!!!!

But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO she isn't driving it. She just wants to put it in D and go. Overall it pissed me off that she didn't even want to try it but at the end of the day, her confidence while driving was way more important to me. So we went out and for her an automatic car so she can feel safe. The positive is she can't drive my 4 speed Cuda's, Challenger or the G! LOL

now to respond to some of the q's and comments
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the look of the coupe. Not one day or night goes by (seriously I need to find something better to do with my nights like sleep) without me on infiniti.com doing comparisons between coupes, sedans, colors, options, view dealer inventory, go to g35driver.com etc. and I don't even own one yet!
My other vehicle is an 05 MDX so that's for the wife and kid so that part of it is taken care of pretty much but for the weekend trips... what if I wanted to take a smaller car up to Napa? !!! Take the G !!!. Annoying kid? Play the modded Xbox on the nav screen! See where my dilema is? Sure I can go with coupe and be happy and selfish or be practical and go with my wifes instinct and go with sedan. Damn choices!

Okay so now about color combo? Anyone with 05's with LS and wheat? How's it look after a while? Any regrets? I've seen it at the dealers lot but since I can't really "borrow" it for a long duration, I can't see if it's the color I'll end up liking in the long run.
I don't want IP or black or other "common" colors (bring on the flames buddy!)
Since I live in nor cali, I see a lot of the darker colors often and not a lot of the others, that's all. My last car (325ci) was steel gray (RIP) and after I bought it, I saw a ton of them.
Misc rant - Have you ever bought a car and suddenly you see a ton of them around but before you bought it, they were a rare find? Isn't that funny how we notice things more when we are concious about it?

Yea, crammin clients in the back isn't great and so is putting your child in the back and taking him/her out.....your going to hate it if your kid is still in a chair...the new sedans are agressive lookin IMO compared to previous years..

We felt the same as you the G looks awesome in any color, we were considering pearl ,but our last car was that pearl, and DG was nice but there were too many on the road, so we got lakeshore slate and love it.
I think the stone looks much better with the LS. Our last car was pearl with frost(Stone) interior and we liked that color.

You seem to be a funny guy all the way around. I too got a modded xbox that I plan on putting in my car via the navi screen. Read all of your posts here in the thread, some funny stuff you brought up. LS is a nice and rare color, but if your gonna get that, get it with Stone interior. Don't bother with the wheat. I think Infiniti made the Wheat worst looking this year versus the 03-04 years. As for coupe or sedan. Wellz, I can tell you really want the coupe, but the sedan for the 05 got a lot better this year IMO. It looks good, yeah, but I would still won't get it though hehe. Just think about it, your in your young 20's....(29)....hehe. So a coupe would be fitting, but your career kinda force you to get a sedan instead. Its a hard delimma to deal with. I would hate to be in your position..hehe. I say COUPE!!!...you only live once...so FUDGE your job!!!..hahah..messing. Either or, you can't go wrong, just as long as you have your xbox hooked up to your navi, you should be happy right? BTW...Black is the best color on the G hands down..hehe. I've seen only 1 LS coupe around my area and that was enough for me..ahhaha..lolz. Its nice and all, but not my taste, just my opinion.
