Nismo Front Bumper License Plate Relocation

I just purchased a Nismo Front Bumper from BausAuto. I do not want to drill holes into it for the license plate fame. I want to keep the clean look of the bumper and also follow the California Law of having the license plate on the bumper:
http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d03/vc5201.htm

I was thinking of purchasing this:

or this:

That's a nice front to have it covered by a license plate. My opinion is to just ride without it and keep the plate in your rear seat. That's what I've been doing for like 6 months, I was stop once but told the officer I just got out of the shop and was on my way home to figure out where to put it. He said take care of it and sent me on my way.

Where are you planning on installing the plate? On one of the air duct holes? Installing anything undeneath the bumper might be a problem, especially if at some point you scrape your bumper on a parking lot.
The L shape brakets are not too bad, I actually did something like that with a car I had a couple of year ago because that car had a fiberglass bumper and I didn't want to drill any holes on it.

Save your money. Cops in cali typically don't care about that. The only time you have to worry is when a cop pulls you over for something else and just tags it on, and most wont even do that as long as you're being cool. I never had a front plate on any of my cars and never been pulled over for it (15 years of driving).

Yeah, prolly install the L shape bracket on one of the air duct holes. I do not want to install it underneath the bumper.

I'm not worried about getting pulled over. I see it all the time when drivers do not have the front license plate, yet alone the rear one. But I deal with parking enforcement daily. They will look for anything to issue a ticket. I got a ticket for having my front license plate on my dash.

Did you get a ticket while driving or while parked? I ask because I put my plate on my dash when I leave the car. While I drive, it's behind the passenger seat.

Leave the license plate off, if you get a ticket keep one of these options for installing it. I've never run front license plates on any of my cars....Gary

Already got a ticket....Ouch! You must have a "Metermaid" living in your complex, that sucks! Go with option 1 but put large washer on both sides of the bolts so it won't wear thru. Great lookin coupe, love the NISMO bumper....Gary
