Safe way to Mod Side Marker Using Relays

Ok, after reading post here about how guys wired their front turn signal to their side marker I said this can't be right...in the earlier post we all were instructed to cut the black wire coming from the side marker connect it to the green/white wire on the left or right side, can't remember which side but it doesn’t matter because on my G the green white wire is a positive wire... it just didn't seem right for some reason I also read a few post where guys experienced some strange electrical issues after this mod. I used 5 pin relays when I modified my side markers therefore power draw on the signal bulb is non existent see my diagram... http://24.90.121.63/TurnSignal.html

Do the side marker turn signals work with the lights off?
