My AC stinks - how to fix?
My AC stinks - how to fix?
Well, I picked up my G a couple of weeks ago. Needless to say, the PO didn't do his due diligence with the cabin filter

The car stinks, and although replacing the cabin filter helped, the car still smells like an old gym bag. I don't want to mask the smell with some Air Fresheners, rather I'd prefer to kill any mold/mildew. What's the best way to do this and what product do you recommend??
While I was in there I changed the plugs. Here's cylinder 1

How they were even firing is beyond me.

+1 on charcoal. I replaced mine with charcoal after i had my condenser cleaned. Big differance between the 2
lol. Same here. Was fine, then the dealer said it needed replaced. I replaced it only for it to stink more.

I'm going to try doing the Lysol trick from the outside went near the battery, spray it in and let it sit. Sometimes its bad enough to make me gag lol
The guy at the dealer said if you always run your a/c in recirculation mode, it doesn't allow the hot air from the outside to dry out the vents.
So now I use fresh air mode more often to dry out the vents.
Thank you gentlemen for your responses. I tried that spray bottle today so hopefully that will help... if not, I think I'll go to the Nissan dealer. My local Infiniti stealer is absolutely terrible
Here's the right way to do it. It's simpler than it seems. As a professional detailer, this is how I would do it. I would not trust the dealership to do a proper job.
Also, the car in the tutorial is a G35.

Yep this is true. Now i'm in the habit of turning off AC and having fresh air come in shortly before i get to where i'm going. Don't give mold any chance to take hold and grow.

activated filter, any local autoparts store should have it.
