hey guys i been gettin the code p1283 for a while, I have headers and the light came on about 2 months later. Is there a way to turn it of? could it be that the sensor is bad or do I need to do the non fouler trick on the o2 sensors of the headers?

 

You need a tune. With headers there is no way that your car is running even half decent on the stock settings...

 

But I hear a lot of ppl that have headers and they don't have ses light on...can I do the non fouler on those?

 

no. You need a tune to ensure that the engine is running properly... Not everyone throws a CEL but that doesn't mean the cars running even half decent

 

I don't even see why you would want headers and not a tune, or not want to spend the money on a tune, or really why you would get headers on a G w/o Cams or FI
