One thing I would like to add is that this car was originally owned in NY. I noticed that the exhaust tubing (sorry of terminology is not right) going from the middle of the car to the back look pretty rough. Maybe from snow? Could this be affecting the car?

Well only had the car for 3 weeks now, my first tank fill up was 93 only got 248 mile on full tank. I put $20 of 89 and that give me 90 miles. Avg 20 mpg, all city.

2.5K doesn't sound like a lot but giving it the throttle required to rev it up that much is going to reduce it more than you think. To get EPA numbers in a 6MT, I have to shift at like 1500RPM or some absurdly low number.

So, it just sounds like you have a heavy foot. Not a super heavy one that floors it, but one heavy enough to hurt mileage.

That said, how often do you floor it?

shift at 1500 RPM to get epa mileage? Wow! i used to have a v6 accord before getting the G and got wayyyyyy better gas mileage(22/29) and did not treat it anywhere near as nice as I treat this one. lol

in regards to flooring it, i'll do it once in a blue moon.

Unless you're an absolute slug at accelerating, you have to either rev a little bit higher than 1.5K or gas the pedal a little bit more to make up for it in order to drive "normally". I know we have a good amount of power in our cars but I think that driving like that is pointless. I've gotten near 400 miles/tank with 60% freeway driving. And on average I get about 19MPG, and that's with the occasional WOT and not being easy on the pedal. Like what others have said, I think it's just the type of driving you do or your driving habits that you're not noticing, or like I said revving that low might actually be hurting your gas mileage. If you really want to be sure then just monitor the hell out of your driving, take notes on what you do, etc. and determine how to go about fixing it from there.

That's what the manual actually says. I rev to 2K usually during relaxed driving.

every red light is a WOT acceleration, and passing cars on the freeway is done under WOT, and most of my driving is highway and I still get 20-22 mpg in a 5AT.

Check your air filters, leave the AC off, and disco/reco the battery see if it can relearn your driving habbits and adjust better.

I have a 06 coupe 6MT , the compute always shows ~270 with full tank, and the actual is about 250 or less. never got a 300+ . 60 highway + 40 local, WA area which has some up hills. shift at ~2500, not sure if it's normal...

^ I'm in Portland, OR so the elevation shouldn't be too different and I personally drive a little aggressive yet I still manage to get better MPG than you guys somehow. I'd definitely do the seafoam and possibly a tune because something's definitely not right (to the OP) or ^

I get almost always the same amount of mpg 260 a tank full city driving and its almost the same no matter what gas octane i put weird. Im runing megan racing Tps with o2 sensor extender could that be the cause im burning more gas? also have full HKS rep catback w/ magnaflow xpipe.

Never been to Phoenix but from what I heard you have a nice dry heat, down here we have that nasty humid heat. Also unless he plans to drive with his Ac off the rest of his life to save gas there's no point in testing that out.
