I just bought an 04 coupe 6mt.

Should I wait to put the intake on? it's a brand new car with like 20 miles on it. If so, how long should I wait?

Btw, i didnt even pick the car up yet... haha, I bought the intake ahead of time.

 

why wait? actually I would wait, then you can see the difference it makes. I've heard that with this car CAI doesn't make much power, but atleast you can be surprised by the sound improvement.

 

power...barely. gas mileage possibiilty. injen cai...looks nice :P

 

I waited about 1 week. The car had maybe $300 miles on it. Go for it won't hurt the car if you put one on.

 

I say drive it for a month or so, then you can at least get an idea what the difference is when you put it on. You'll enjoy it more IMHO

 

hmm, yea id wait just to try n see/hear the difference. does it improve the gas mileage?

 

Why wait? I put mine in all my other cars right away. It'll breathe so much better. I love Injen. I had it in my S2000, STi, and now in my Civic. It'll be one of my first mods on my G when I get it.

You'll love the look, sound, and it will feel faster (maybe psychological w/ only minor gains in hp and some in fuel mpg) but it's worth it!
