GTR tinted tails?

I've made my mind up that I want to do my tails like the picture below. I have an 04 ob coupe.

I just want to know whats the best way to go about this? I want it to be smoke like in the pic, but i also want it like a glossy finish and not like a matt finish. I've also seen it on HotelCrazy's car. Will bluebats give me this affect? or vht? let me know guys thanks

Just get them painted for $200. The vinyl gets scratched/peels off and then your gonna have to dish out more money doing them over. Get it done right the first time.. My $0.02

I went with gtr overlays from houseofgrafix (ebay company). It gave that perfect look and wasnt a beast to install. My $.02 would be overlays. Cheaper, and have the option of changing if you so desire. I Have pics on my profile of what the finished tails look like on mine.

Lol spend $200 on paint or $20 for an overlay that unless you install it incorrectly will peel off. Other then that it just can't peel off randomly...

id go with the VHT i used some vinyls on ebay and they ended up peeling off within 2 months. and they were a b*tch to put on. if you took the vinyls to a tint shop they will probably last longer since a professional would be doing it. i went with the VHT nightshade because it was really easy to do and i think it looks good with some gloss paint over it

The key to installation is a very well prepped lens and using distilled water

lots of soapy water and you will need heat at the corner. I went with houseofgrapix on ebay and have held up great.
