Anybody know where to get a good remanufactured/refurbished engine from? Mine has seized on me and I need to get a new one
. I've been looking around on the internet but I don't know who to trust. Anybody have any experience or anybody they can recommend that is legit? Thanks
Thanks man! I'll give them a call when I get out of work, this has been a nightmare but its my own fault so all I can do is just find a motor and put one in, I already have someone that can do it for me and won't charge too much in labor but I just gotta find a motor that is good. I appreciate the quick reply!
You should try our own vendor section here.
I haven't purchased an engine from them (or anyone else), but I can say that I have been to Z1 Motorsports and they are trustworthy. www.z1motorsports.com

I gave them a call and they have racing heads for a pretty decent price but for the block total came out to about $5000.00, I found this place called 123 engines that has remanufactured engines and they want about $3000.00 so I'm thinking about that but if I can get a built engine for a decent price I think I may go for it. I just really want my car back, its been about 3 weeks now and its killing me. Thanks for the post!
check my350z.com. There more guys selling their motors on there since a lot more 350z guys do ls and 2jz swaps.

You are right sir, they have a bunch but that leads me to another question, does anybody know if I can put a newer model year motor in my car? I have a '05 rev up, 6spd coupe. Thanks for all of the replies everybody

read that about 123engines before you do anything

Well after reading that I have decided against getting an engine from those guys. I looked around locally here and found a place that will get me an engine with 45K miles on it and will put it in with new gaskets, seals, etc for $3800.00 including taxes and it has a 6 month warranty. I will keep you guys updated on what happens, I am supposed to have it towed there on 12th and they said that should have it done in about 4 days so hopefully that works out. What do you guys think about the price? The last place I went was quoting me about $6800.00 so I think thats better but I hope these guys do a good job. Thanks again guys for all of the input, I always come to get advice but whenever I post something I always get good advice. I haven't had my car in about a month and a half and I can't wait to get it back on the road.
Thats something I thought about but I always heard that the long block costs more than a complete engine. Plus I'm not sure if there is anything wrong with my heads on my current motor. Its seized but I don't know if there was any damage to the heads. I will check them out though. I know this is going to be an expensive repair and if I had the know how and means I would do it myself because I'm pretty mechanically inclined but I don't so I'm just trying to save myself as much as possible but get it done right.
there long block package is $4400 and there short block is $2600. I just suggested the long block so you don't have to worry about installing the heads. You can just swap the accessories and drop it in. So it should ave you a lot of down time.
. You can have them just change the compression to stock and you still have the option of keeping a 600whp engine while running stock and could supercharge or turbo the car later.
I think thats a better value for the money your paying then paying $3800-6800 engine.

if you want just stock, you can look around and try to locate a used stock engine. I see them go for $600-1000k depending on the mileage.
I think $6800 for a stock engine is too much. For $6800 you can almost buy another g35.
