i have the mishimoto thermostat along with radiator, radiator fan shrouds.. AWESOME IMO. runs a lot cooler!.. the only problem i have is that my "engine service soon" light comes on once in a while due to thermostat reading temperature cooler than usual, but its nothing mechanical. I believe its bc the ecu isnt use to it.

FYI. it didnt start doing it until the weather started getting cooler and turned my CCV on, so i think it has something to do with it....

Just replace the theromstat with a OE unit, you don't want to confuse the ECU by running cooler than your G is designed to. This way too your heater will get the correct signal, you don't need to drive 10 miles before your heater does it's job....Gary

I would just stick with oem. In this case, its better to have reliability rather then performance.

Can't go wrong with OEM parts.

I heard that with racing thermostats ,its bad if it opens up earlier, because since its opening up at lower temperatures , youre not giving enough time for the coolant flow to cool down. which will leave it open most of the time. Thats what i was told, can anyone correct me on this. i would like to know if this is T/F?
