Is this a good deal on an 04 G?

Hi this is my first post so I figure this is the place to ask if I'm getting a good deal or not. Its an 04 G 6sp man with 20000 miles on it. Mostly highway miles since the previous owner had a job that required some traveling. It has the aero kit, it looks like the premium package as well but, I can't tell. I think its the premium package since it has the sunroof and sirius radio but, I could be wrong. It also has clear corners...I'm not sure if this is a factory option or a JDM upgrade.
I'm getting it for 28900 and 29356 out the door. I don't have to pay sales tax since I'm an Oregon resident. It feel like its a good deal and I've tried looking up prices on Kbb and nada but its still too new to give me numbers on.

Tony

Sounds ok to me. I was shopping for a used G, and the prices were 31 to 34. I found a new 04 6mt with gps for 35,500 and 2.9% for 60 mo.

You can tell if it's got the premium package if it has the following:
• Power glass sliding sunroof
• 225-watt Bose® premium audio
system with 8 speakers and
AM/FM/cassette, in-dash,
single-slot 6-disc CD autochanger
• Dual-zone climate control
• Auto on/off headlights
• Electrochromic auto-dimming
inside mirror
• HomeLink buttons on mirror

Good way to determine value (at least in my opinion) is to go out to ebay. Take a look at some of them on there that are equipped similarly to the one you are looking at and see what they sell for. There is a little check box on the left side of the screen that will show you "completed items" so you can see the actual selling price of a bunch of them. Offhand that doesn't seem like a bad deal. I think you can get one with lower miles if you are willing to wait and maybe drive a bit. Back in October 2003 I got an '03 6MT with 5,000 miles on it, premium package and in perfect condition for $27,000. I have seen some 2004's on ebay with around 10k miles go for 28,500. Yours is a few more miles than that, but it is a far better deal than you would typically find at a dealership. They usually want several thousand more than it's worth.

sounds like a good deal...but doesn't it seem always ironic that every car for sale has "highway" miles??

When was the car purchased? 20k miles is a fair amount for a year--even more if the car wasn't purchased until midway through 2004.

The price sounds about right for that many miles.

I just bought my 2004 (that was purchased originally in Nov. 2004) 6MT/navi/graphite/graphite/XM/wheel warranty/trunk mat/mud guards with 3000 miles on it for 31,500 and I figure that was a pretty good deal. The car was basically brand new.

I think I was lucky, however, in that I found someone who had to get rid of this car and was willing to deal.

i think you're getting a great deal - as long as the high mileage is not an issue. i would also recommend searching ebay for cars with similar options & mileage and seeing what those were going for.

I paid mid $33k for a new 04 5AT with all the options you listed. It looks like you are getting a pretty good deal, or you could pay $4000-5000 more for an 04 brand new. Good Luck with it.

For comparison, in late October I paid $33,300 for an AT 04' Coupe. However, it was brand new with all options except for navigation. Get's me thinking, did I overpay at that time? Not like it makes a difference now.

It's a pretty good deal.

Oh, and the clear corners are not OEM.

i am with everyone else...its a good deal.

3 weeks ago, i picked up my used 2004 dg coupe with the aero package/premium package/wheel and tire package with 29,881 on the odometer. out the door, it was 32k. i probably could have gotten a better deal. but i wanted a new car so bad at the time...it was an instinct buy. it was a one owner car delivered 10/2003.

Don't worry, be happy

I'd say you got a fairly good deal. If it has all the options, and color combinations you wan't, it's a good deal. Lucky you, no sales tax. I bought my 03 last year(6mt and prem.) for 31,500 out the door, and that was with a trade in(a POS BMW 328 that I got more than trade in for). The car was used, but only had 3k miles, and had all the options and color combos I wanted. If your happy with the car, and happy with what you paid for it, don't worry about what other people paid for their G's. There is always someone out there who got a better deal than you, but are they happy with the options and color combos?

Just my thought

How about a Twint Turbo 2003 5AT with only 14,000?

The car found does seem be a fair price, but the miles are a tad high for a 2004.
I have a 2003 Twin Turbo 5AT, Loaded, 18 Performance Wheel package, Nav, etc with only 14,000. 500 HP.
