Trunk Broken Into

Wow, is there a secret way to break into our trunks or something? My sub and amp were stolen last night, but the entry was not through my car and then using the trunk switch. They somehow opened my trunk from the outside without causing any damage at all. I'm more than confident my trunk was closed prior to my discovery this afternoon. Anyone had any similar experiences or ideas?

No.. Your car must have been unlocked or your trunk not closed all the way.

I drive a coupe. I'm still more than confident my trunk was locked. That baby never closes without a loud slamming thump, and also more than confident my car was not unlocked, since I had my trunk security switch on and that glove box was locked when I tested it after discovering the burglary. They might as well have taken my double din deck.

They most likely slm jimded your door and opened it up with the switch under the sterring wheel. I dont think you can lock your doors if your truck isnt closed anyways. Probably someone your know in your area and knows your coupe has a system and maybe didnt want to waste to much time trying to take the double din too.

Yeah, my best guess is that it is someone in my neighborhood also. But I'm not too sure about the switch under the steering wheel since I had my trunk security switch on and the only way is to open it with the remote control.. unless they broke into my glove box, turned off my trunk security switch, and then used the switch under the steering wheel. But that was not the case since my glove box was properly locked when I realized the burglary.

Here's the suspicious looking damage. Above where the trunk sits also had a little bit of paint chip on it.

Yeah, I filed it after I noticed the missing sub and amp. It does suck, but oh well. At least my music still sounds great even without the sub. I think I like the bigger trunk space anyways. =)
