Need new bolts to install plenum spacer?

Hey guys, I had a new long block installed recently due to oil consumption. They did not reinstall my plenum spacer so I will be installing it soon. Is it necessary to get new plenum bolts when installing? I'm guessing not but want to be sure.

Also, does anyone know if the lower plenum comes on the factory long block? The car seems more sluggish than before the new engine install and I'm wondering if the new engine came with the stock lower plenum on it so they didn't reinstall my mrev2 lower plenum.

Thanks for any help.

The bolts with the spacer in will need to be longer to compensate for the spacer. So the new bolts will be longer than the old ones, thus you will need new bolts.

Haha, wow...don't know why I didn't even think of that. I'll order some longer bolts and the gaskets.

Thanks!

So are you asking if the new long block comes with new lower plenum? or you left your Mrev2 plenum on the old motor? and think they didn't re-install it? Kind of confusing.

Best answer thus far....^....order the longer bolts and plastic spacers. New engine will be slower until it's broken in, no high revs until you hit 4K miles and add some quality systhetic oil....Gary

Lol that's exactly what he said. He left his MREV2 on for the long block replacement but is worried they might have tossed the MREV2 and replaced it with a OEM one. Long blocks don't come with plenums, but it's possible the tech mis-interpreted the MREV2 as a damaged lower plenum and tossed it.

OP, you won't know until you pull the upper to re-install the spacer unless you call them.

Been staying under 3k and changing oil in 500 mile increments until 2000 miles. Slowly upping the revs as I go.
