Has anybody bought their Y pipe from ebay. I really cant afford a $300+ name brand like stillen so im opting for a ebay one. Im looking forward to hear someones experience from buying a y pipe from ebay.

I need some insight.

 

They are just OEM replicas without the heat shield. I've heard of them cracking cats as well. Stillen is pretty trash IMO, they have really hit or miss(mostly miss) products and the Y-pipe is a miss. If you get anything, go for an OEM 350Z HR Y Pipe. The G37 and 370Z have similar ones but they are more restrictive.

 

David IMO just save up little by little until you could afford a better exhaust setup. Buying cheap performance parts will just breakdown/ wear out faster. Save, save and save! Don't forget to check the private classified exhaust section!

 

From my "vast experience" I wouldn't buy anything on eBay! You're much better off buying a y-pipe from our MARKETPLACE under verdor exhaust. They have the best quality and decent prices not to mention they depend on us as members....Gary

 

Either go with a HR Y pipe or an M2 replica y pipe both work out fine for what you looking for.

 

yea i`m stuck between trying to buy a used y pipe from an 350(07 and up) or the megan v2 y pipe.

Yeah, buy the ebay y-pipe, and some ebay headers, maybe ebay exaust tips too! How bout go all in on a ebay replica motor with a turbonator setup?

I'm saving up for a Nismo exhaust, however my stock Y pipe was in a pretty bad shape and my car sounded like a farting machine.
I ended up buying Megan racing v2 y pipe. Took me about an hour to install and it did the job.

 

Nothing wrong with Ebay anything IF you know what you're looking for. A ton of shops sell their items on Ebay. I got my Borla Exhaust, Berk HFCs, MD Plenum Spacer, Z Tube, S Tech springs and countless other pieces for my original G off of Ebay and saved upwards of 30% on some of the items. I never had one issue. Now if you go for the cheapest off the cheap because you don't know what you're looking for then you're asking for problems. Just my .02

That's not true. You can buy true hks exhaust on eBay. Nismo exhaust. OEM headlights. Tail lights. Full FI kits. Motordyne parts. Etc...

eBay is a market, you choose if you wanna buy authentic parts or knockoffs
