Driver seat cushion gone soft

Hey everybody,

I know I haven't posted in a while but I have a problem with my 2005 (sport) driver seat.

I got in the car this evening and noticed that the drivers seat had become rather soft suddenly.

I have no idea what caused it but the back part of the seat cushion - the part not under the legs but the back of the butt where your spine comes down (not the back rest - the butt rest) seems to have no support below it. I tried looking underneath but lets be serious its hard to see anything down there. Is there some sort of a support spring or something of that nature that should be holding it in place or something along those lines?

Ps no i'm not fat, i'm tiny lol, i'm 150 pounds and 5 8" so save all the fat jokes....

any help would be fantastic!

Merry Christmas as well.

The foam cushion as many other trim and interior parts on our cars are inferior and in this case the foam disintegrates prematurely. I had mine replaced twice, first time under warranty, and second time under "good will". It is an expensive bolster ($600) so the best bet is to go to an upholstery shop.

I plan on redoing my seats and having my bolsters as firm as those on BMWs

My 07' X non-sport has the same problem with the bottom drivers bolster because of the way I get in and out of the car. I'm not a big person either by any means but Ive noticed that it is a little bit of a challenge getting out of the car over that bolster with out putting a lot of pressure on it where its breaking down. If you feel of it you can tell its broken down into a bunch of little pieces under the leather.

I would eventually love to have the seats reupholstered so Ill probably just wait and have it fixed then. OR I would like to find a set of sport seats.
