burnt smell & clutch burning smell nowhere near the same.

Check if any plastic got stuck on your exhaust, or maybe some wires werent tucked it properly and are touching something

I'm 17 so burnt smells like burnt to me, not sure what the difference is between clutch and just burnt.

them having different smells has nothing to do with it. there's a lot of types of odors that someone would categorize as a "burning" smell. a clutch can be considered one of them.

OP didn't specify if it smelled like burnt dogshiit, burnt tires, or burnt whatever.

Ride your clutch a bit and you'll smell it right away. lol jk dont do that. Get someone more experienced (not necessary a mechanic) just someone who can recognize a burnt clutch smell

Its a really nasty smell, definitely different than plastic or anything burning

yea clutch brake in there was a bit burning smell, not thick black smoke burning smell, but smells like very faint burnt plastic depending on what clutch you got, organic or otherwise. organic clutches smell like **** imo. the shop that changed my clutch said there might even be smoke coming out of the area....but i didn't see any or else i woulda been like wtf kinda break in process is this

Yeah I'm sitting pretty low and a stupid plastic bag got caught by one of the exhaust clamps and its melted on the muffler section. It smells each time it heats up and I haven't had the chance to jack my car up to clean it off.

Same combo I have, I dont recall any smell when first install it. Like i said, get someone to check it before it gets worse. If its a clutch smell get it checked asap maybe clutch is not releasing all the way?

I knew this subject would show up....lmao

I picked up a plastic bag that melted around the flange behind my HFC on the right side. You don't have a clue how bad that smells, I thought/hoped the smell was coming from someone else's ride until I looked under SLICK and discovered the melted bag!
