I replaced my thermostat once my car started over heating. i replaced the coolant in the radiator. well my car still overheats. and once its parked and its cooled the coolant i pushed back into the resevoir. can someone please tell me what could be wrong. there arent any leaks anywhere.

 

You replace the radiator cap?

 

The main issue we have with doing anything to our cooling system is getting all the air out. There's a valve on the bottom of your radiator to release air, do it once and drive around the block. Come back and do it again until no air escapes other wise your cooling system won't work correctly. I've owned a dozen cars and this is the only one with this issue....Gary

It would be a good idea just to replace it. Only use OEM caps.

 

that did not help. they say there is a screw or something thats between the battery and the engine that you can unscrew, but the only thing i see there is a a green screw on cap thats attached to a pipe.

 

Simple google search will find your answer.

 

ok i found the screw there was no air in the lines. and its still overheating

 

Change the rad cap with a new OEM one.

 

ok question, how long was i suppose to let the car get the air bubbles out and was i suppose to turn the air or heat on, or remove the radiator cap?

 

Keep the cap on. Heat on. Remove air relief plug. Hold at 3k rpm for 10sec.

 

and then after that?

 

Beats me. lol. Never changed the coolant on the G35. I knew that stuff from watching that video on infinitihelp. I am sure there is a DIY on this forum. Use the search function.
