A couple days of ago my brake pedal started acting weird. If i drive around 10mph, and then start pressing on the brakes lightly, there is a weird spring-like noise and a bit of pulsating from the pedal. This happens EVERY TIME I press the pedal around that speed until I let off or come to almost a complete stop. The car is braking like normal and the pedal is not losing it's pressure. I was told if could be the rotors or brakes... switched them out for new ones and the issue continues. The noise sounds like it's almost come from the engine area and it is somewhat loud. Everything under the hood looks good. The same goes to the calipers, rotors, brakes, and near the pedal itself. Anyone have any idea what it might be?

an update for whoever was reading this or might come across this issue in the future.

i ended up going to the dealership last saturday for an airbag issue and told them to please check out the brakes. initially they told me it the new brakes and rotors could be causing the vibration issue because they havent been bedded-in(?). they told me they would fix the airbag and do the bed-in process for me (no extra charge).

when i got the car back they said it was not what they initially thought. it seems it could be a damaged wheel bearing or the abs sensor is acting up. i found this link:

http://www.6mt.net/forum/g35-coupe/3...rding-abs.html

this person was having very similar problems to what i'm currently having.

anyways, i'm stuck between attempting to fix this car (rather do it with a mechanic, cheaper) or selling the car as trade-in value. i already know dealers will low ball me, but i rather make the trade and move on. how much do you think they will deduct for this braking issue? fyi - it is 04 g35c auto.. 67k miles

if its a wheel bearing, it would be cheaper just to fix it then to take the hit. It should be pretty obvious if you have a wheel bearing issue or not. You'll hear a card over a bicyle spoke sound when you drive the car at low speed or you can lift the car and tilt the wheel back and forth. If there's too much back and forth play, the wheel bearing is bad.

For the abs sensor, you can probably just pull the obd codes to see if its really the abs sensor. If not you can always take a volt meter and test each sensor.

Both my solutions i suggested are either free or can be done for pretty cheap. I dont see why you would want to take the hit and not fix them. Fixing them is still cheaper then paying $30k-50k for another infiniti, unless you really want a new car.
