The main thing is you can get the OEM Headlights with Xenon control units for the 1400$ the projector kits were discounted because they didn't come with the Xenon control unit,It is simple supply and demand, when there's only a few left in the country, you can charge what you want, you either pay it, or dont at that point

i thought it was discontinued because the recall campaign is completed. the xenon control is just the ballast right? why would it affect the kits just because it didnt come with it?

i just dont understand the distinction ur decribing.

the xenon control is just the ballast right? ((um well it's the control unit underneath the head lamp, the $482.00 control unit))

why would it affect the kits just because it didnt come with it? ((the kit was made without the Xenon control unit, so as to keep the cost of the recall down,,,, the lights were able to re-use the old control unit, so they didn't need it, however at the time, you could only get the head lamp with the control unit in it $857 each side so that'd be about $1715 so they removed the control units and made it a LH and RH set for about 600$))

i just dont understand the distinction ur decribing.
((Hope that clarifies the distinction for you))

So can you buy them now individually without the ballast or "control unit"?

the oc listing doesnt come with ballast so that either means they removed it or selling a recall kit at the original price.

so now all new 06 headlights will come with ballast?..."technically"

((Yes you could always get the ballast seperate, that's not the recall issue))

((Xenon, same price, 05-06 Projectors just look better))

((it's always been that way, if you buy the OEM Headlight, not the recall kit)))

Hopefully some nice OEM replicas will be created. I never really like replicas (mainly for rims) but since it's an OEM part that's becoming harder to source out and/or is expensive I think it'd be nice for those who may have purchased their Gs with worn headlights.
