Hey guys,

I know G's don't have timing belts. But there's this obscure squeaking noise by my engine bay. Almost sounds like as if the car were to have a rubbing timing belt. Anyone else have this noise going on?

 

If I were to describe it, it would be squeaking noise rather than rattles

 

Can you do video?

 

I'll try to do a video when I get back home. I just want to know of people have the same problem of noise.

 

Is there a thread on this forum that describes all the rattles, squeaks and other noises of the G?

 

I have this issue as well... I had my belts replaced last summer so I know its not that. I'm going out on a limb and guessing it's the water pump. Does yours do it when you start the engine and gradually get a little louder? Then after driving for a bit you get out and check it and you can't hear it anymore? That's how mine is... pretty annoying

 

It probably goes like that. I haven't been paying attention on the long runs though.
