I've had it randomly couple of times - both times it went away just like it came...

I've been having a problem after adjusting the clutch by 4 turns that the clutch is sticking a bit and not coming up all the way after shifting. It is coming up to the end of the free play area and then sometimes I need to put my foot under it and pop it up the remaining centimeter or so to get it all the way up.

Anyone else have this issue after adjusting their clutch and might this simply be a lubrication issue?

Yes I have it sporadically. I looked at it just before I stored my car 10 weeks ago. The problem seemed to be from slight sideways excessive freeplay in the linkage that connects the pedal to the rod. I'm not sure it can be corrected with lubrication however if it can't and it persists I'll visit my dealer in April and have it fixed under the service warranty converage.

I had it about two weeks ago. It dissapeared as fast at it came. WD40 should penetrate well but might not last as long. I would try something heavier. Lithium grease works well. Have had a tub of it for longer than I can remember. I don't even know if they still sell the stuff, really poisoness.

silicone would work perfect. just turn your radio on, or louder.

I agree with g35sandiego on the white lithium grease. It's available in spray or tube. It's tough and is regularly used in marine applications to resist water/rust too.

I was reading this thread earlier this morning trying to figure out what the hell a squeaky clutch sounds like... Get in my car and go out to lunch. When I park I push my clutch in (don't really know why) and I get this annoying squeak!!! I should have never read this thread.... It cursed me.
