Ordered my 6MT from Grubbs!

The car buying experience has been a rough one this go round. Living in VA, no deals were to be found on the 6MT. I could not budge anyone under MSRP. It wasnt until they worried a bit about me going to Grubbs that they started to play ball, but the pitches were still very weak like $300 off of MSRP. no thanks.

I got one hell of a deal at Grubbs, and if you want a salesman that seriously, and I mean seriously does not BS you the slightest, please PM me. He was absolutely great about the whole transaction. I have no regrets whatsoever.
My car is on order. Should be here in a couple of months.

why so long? I have a special order. I am ramming this thing full with options.

Lokey Infiniti in Florida can get you a car for $517 over invoice. All you need to do is sign up to be a Florida G35 Club member by the 31st and pay their membership fee of $25. Tack on $500-$700 on delivery...hell if you're in Virginia, just make the trip down and drive back the next day in your new G.

Talk to the Neffster (prez of Florida Club) to get the exact details.

I'm currently talking with a salesperson named Gil from Grubbs. Is this your salesperson clockwork? I haven't had much success in getting a good deal (even though were early on in the buying process). BTW, if you don't mind me asking, how much of MSRP did they give you?

Take care.

Membership has it's privileges... BTW it's a FIRM $500.00 over invoice (including ALL FEES).

damn, they were even doing that for the manuals also??? hot damn. great deal.

I dont want to shy away from getting him his commission from everyone else, but I will say I got more than the 1500 off MSRP that others got. He really worked with me.

I also had Ron Smith. A hell of a guy.

I got every option imaginable with the exception of the front full aero kit. I got the package. I even got the Satellite radio, and whats so cool about it is Grubbs wont have anything to do with the antena being on top of the car. they locate it right near the trunk to make it barely noticeable with no decrease in reception.

I also got my clearbra though them which saved me around 300 dollars from what it would cost me to get it done here. It under warranty also. Cant beat that

Any dealer that says they can't deal might as well be saying "get f-----"... there is no reason in the world why a car that's been out for several years should sell for MSRP... i contacted Grubbs after hearing all the great feedback... they didn't have the exact car i was looking for (currently or on their inbound list) and they said that i would have to pay full MSRP on any special order... admittedly, Grubbs' pricing was good on the models they did have, but that didn't do me much good in this case...

so today I went down the street, walked in to Infiniti and said "here is the exact car I want to order, and I want $1000 off MSRP"... they said "ok" so easily I felt like I should have asked for more!! all these "they won't deal on 05's" threads on the net made me too conservative with my initial offer!! In my case, i was looking for a black/black 6MT coupe with only a single option - aero package... with this low of an MSR ($34380) I feel that $1000 off isn't too bad... but I bet I could have pulled $1500 off if I really leaned on them...

just a word of advice to those that haven't ordered yet -- deal hard!!

Thats because they make 12 blacks for every 2 DG....blacks are in abundance. (6MTs that is). I am not making this up either because I have seen the corporate list of which dealers are allocated what.

I beleive the list is generated based off dealer demand. If Infiniti is indeed a Japanese company they more than likely are a JIT ran company like Toyota which believes in a demand pull not a push pull model.
Dealers more than likely like "black" moreso than other colors becuase that's easily sellable than "fashion" colors that tend to tire some people after a while.

Exactly. I followed wnt1bd's advice posted up this thread here and ordered an 05 CPE 6MTin the Washington, DC, area last week for considerably below MSRP and below Grubbs' price with shipping to we retired servicemen.

yeah, you military guys get all the luck .....you guys deserve it though.

A little bit of an extra clue, I got my car for almost 2000 off MSRP, and this was an Athens Blue 6MT with everything but the aero kit (got aero package)
