Not ALL G35 coupes have OC issues

It seems all I read on here is negatives things about G35's, and I feel that's misleading because typically people don't post about their cars when everything is great.

Well my 06 coupe 6mt has 89000 miles, and I do several track events and mountain runs(just got back from zdayz) annually, driving it very hard, and it has had 0 issues let alone any OC issues. I drive the crap out of it, but keep up with regular maintenance and not even a sensor has failed let alone my engine. Just wanted to post this up to have something positive around here. I love my G and for what it is you can't buy a better car for the price!

Its funny... I know my oil level has gotten low between oil changes.. I never stayed completely on top of it but 2 to 3k after getting an oil change and I hear noise from the engine and say ****.. time to throw some oil in. (car only does about 5k miles a year) Anyway, since I just got into doing all the work on the car myself and just did a change (changed over to Mobile 1 synthetic finally) about 400 miles ago, I checked the oil tonight actually. It has not moved so far.. still filled to the top. I will be watching this closely going forward though... but so far, I know its not extreme OC.

I just did an oil change last weekend too and I've never had any oil consumption issues with my car. I'm at 93K miles on my 05 A/T coupe.

06 6mt here with 135,000 miles so far. OC is within the same range as every other Nissan I've owned for the past 13 years, as in maybe 1/2 to 3/4 low on the dipstick on my 4k oil change intervals.

I drive my car hard as well, few autox, went to zdayz last year, organize local back-road cruises.

I guess the revup engines get a bad rap, but the two members in my car club with OC issues are actually 04 6mts.

My 05 6mt has 76k on it now. No oil consumption issue get. Only issue I have is a failed nav screen...

I'll jump on the bandwagon - another 06 revup close to 70k, no exhaust mods (there was some discussion on that point at one time) with no OC issues.

I got an 03 and the only issue I've had is a bad sensor. Like the OP said, people typically only come on here when they have a problem with something. These machines are bullet proof!

My 05 6MT didn't really have an OC issue but I drove it hard. Literally thousands of drag passes, sometimes over 50 passes in one night, and many canyon runs (see my youtube page). Anyone who tracked their VQ as much as I did will have OC issues.

I still got my engine replaced cause it was having OC "issues" and other little issues that they couldn't fix so they replaced it anyways. I even took the loaner G37 they gave me and took it to the strip.

The new engine works fine but haven't driven the new engine as hard and only a few pases.

I got a 04 5AT Coupe with 105k miles on it never a single problem except for a head light bulb burning out haha. Also got a 06 6MT with 78k never one problem.

Both been to the track multipul times and redlined at every stoplight haha

Problem is when you buy a used one (I'm looking for an '05-'07 6MT) you are not going to know if it will be an OC car or not. I'm going to go ahead and do it cause they are such beautiful cars.
