G35 Will Not Downshift??
hmmmmm.... perhaps a slightly bent shift linkage? id find a picture of an oem one, then look closely at yours and see if you see an extra bend somewhere.... thats the only thing i can think of. if it was a synchro, it would act them same whether shifting up or down...does it have a short shifter in it? if so, maybe the linkage wasnt tightened all the way on first install, and it bent during hard shifting(supercharger puts much more strain on drivetrain) never know
I would suggest looking at upgrading the components of the clutch system if you have a supercharger and a heavy duty clutch & flywheel. If you are still running OEM grade parts they may have worn out.
Looking at: Pivot Ball, Braided SS line, clutch fork as well as a HD clutch master cylinder & slave cylinder.

Thank you guys for the info and also the links!
Unfortunately the day after I posted, it made its 1st grind in to 3rd. Now it grinds all the time. I have to hold the clutch in until the RPM's nearly hit zero before I can shift in to 3rd w/o getting a grind. I still think something is wrong with the clutch pedal though and I hope that's all it is but knowing my luck prob. not, it just does not seem to function 100%. Still haven't had a chance to get looking at everything, but will this weekend.

Im actually a 9 year certified honda technician. Just looking for pointers until I can get to the car, or if anyone has had similar issues. Anything that could help me on the drawing board and save me some time. Thanks.
Not a very common problem with any car really. If it were my car i would just pull the tranny and dive in. Manual tranny's are a cake walk to disassemble/assemble so if nothing else give it a full inspection and work your way up the parts ladder. I havent looked into it so I cant give you any info on cost or parts availability, but since youre supercharged, maybe take a peek into building the tranny a bit while you're in there.
I forgot to ever post an update on this, I hate when people don't update a thread.
Anyway, turned out to be the syncro's in the tranny. I ended up upgraded to the CD009 which is supposed to be a lot better. Its been in since last may and works great. I also threw a stage 3 clutch in and love it. Stage 4 is going in tom though!
So if anyone needs a nice stage 3 with only 4k miles I got one! $40 w/ shipping
