cracked headlight lens - HID bulb issues ?

2003 G coupe with factory HID

I have a small crack in my lens
will the moisture in the housing cause the HID bulbs to fail almost immediately ?

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

If the moisture gets on the bulb it'll fry it.
