Hi All:
It's hard to believe how much time goes by, but I joined this forum prior to purchasing my brand new 2004 coupe.....and I still own it and not because I have to. Now that my ride is turning 10 yrs old and a low 89k miles, I somehow damaged both Cat Converters and Infiniti wants 3500 to replace. Although the car is in very good shape inside and out, I struggle with paying anywhere near that for a vehicle this old.
I was hoping a fellow member can provide some advice on quality cats and for those of you in the Orlando area, someone that you would trust to install them.
Thanks in advance for the advice.
Gary

Holy wow $3500?? That's a ridiculously high amount IMO. Hopefully someone knows a less expensive place to install some high flow cats for huh!

The real kicker is that Cats are warrantied for 10yrs/80K miles. My car is 10yrs and 89K miles. I tried to get a break from Infiniti, but they would only go down to $2700. A local reputable mechanic in town is willing to do it for $1600 all inclusive, but I am waiting to find out what brand they use.Originally Posted by redonblack35

I'm still hoping this community can give some advice I hadn't thought of.
