Question Driver side carpet bump.

I jacked up my car to do an oil change and later i noticed theres a 8 inch length bump pushing up my carpet near the door. So my guess is i jacked up my car in the wrong place and pushing the paneling up distorting my carpeting. I tried hammering it down with rubber mallet but no avail.

Does anyone have any DIY on removing the carpet so i can hit the metal down.

Pull off most trim pieces then you pull up on the tabs. Check the service manual for detailed guides.

The trim pieces are held in by tabs underneath. You should be able to lift part of the carpet enough to see the damage by removing the trim piece running next to the door kick plate and the trim piece covering the fuse box.

Ok so i fixed it and it wasnt that hard, i had to tear up the carpet and pull out the tabs and the fuse box and resting foot pad and pull it back a bit. Underneath is a styrofoam padding about 5 inches thick and had to pull that out. underneath that was the bare metal that was deformed from the wrong jacking place. I hit it a couple of times and voila ! back to an even plane.
