Weird Noises from my G35

Hi guys,

I own a 2007 G35 coupe with 76K miles on it.

Everytime I step on the brake i hear clicking noise. It's been like that since I bought the car in May. And when I brought my car to local Nissan dealer they told me it is normal for anti braking system or whatever.

Also, when I turn my steering wheel all the way to the right or left, I hear a loud rubbing noise from the right side of the wheel. So i brought my car this morning to the same dealer and they told me it is normal..they said they it's sensor telling me that you can't turn the wheel anymore.

I don't know if i should believe them since i don't know much about car.

So, I'm wondering if anybody else have similar issues...if it is really normal then all g35 should make the same noise..right?

Does the cluicking match ur wheel speed? i have this too. try greasing the brakes pad backs wit hbrake grease, but it will come back. check ur PS fluid level and belts.

Are you mechanically inclined. You can jack up your car and take a look at all the bushings/balljoints for tears.

If you're not familiar with what to look for, just look at all the bars and rods around the suspension, and focus on the points where it connects. Those joints are the ones that can wear and tear. Sometimes they will click when going bad.

I don't think it can be ABS since it should only activate if you brake at full pressure and/or it detects the brakes have locked.

My problem is I hear a semi loud THUMP when I press my brakes but only at certain speeds.

check all the bolts around the brakes/suspension to make sure nothing is loose or missing.

I have an 06 coupe and this is exactly my problem. For every one wheel revolution I hear a click from the front left so it matches my speed (fast clicking on the highway and slow clicking at low speed) Is there maybe a pebble stuck in the slot of my rotor? No idea but I'm going to get it checked out. Did you?

Also, the clicking stops when I use the brakes, so I know it has something to do with them.

Ummm. Do you have aftermarket pads? Check behind the pad for a shim. If the shim is missing, you are hearing the pad moving and hitting the caliper. Most aftermarket pads don't allow the shim to fit, so they move and click. My rear hawks do it. Just gotta get used to it

But why would the pad being loose match the clicking that's in unison with the wheel speed?

Who knows. Friction works in weird ways

Here's what it was:
Last time I took my car into the shop they rotated my front tires (took the front tires off the rims and swapped em bcus of the stagger which I highly recommend for everyone with the staggered set) and when they put the wheels back on, they didn't notice that they put the 2 wheel spacers on one the front left side and obviously none on the right. The clicking noise was my actual rim wobbling because the 2 spacers were making it loose and it started stripping the studs and lug nuts. Got it fixed, but now you guys know if u hear a wheel clicking that matches ur speed and stops when u brake- u have a loose wheel.

That's a bit scary. When I was a total car noob banging off my rotors I loosened one of my axle nuts. The wheel wobbled when fully tightened on the hub.
