Well im new to the "G" scene but wanted one since my friend got one for graduation... bastard... but I finally got one and looking to make it a moderate jdm conversion and a show/DD car(which I know is next to impossible) need some input on where to buy a good body kit and just input in general will be posting pics when I figure out how lol
hopefully this worked but this is before when I first bought it
and this is now
did the brakesHaha yeah I guess it is but I am trying do a jdm conversion I got the paint, door sills, battery cover, side markers you know the small stuff. But I dont really know what else is interchangeable between the v and the g35 as I am new to the g35 game. So if I could get some info on what parts, and jdm accessories are out there. Ive searched but only keep finding the same crap so maybe some more experienced g owners could shed the light id appreciate the help
Im trying to do a jdm conversion but I dont know what parts are interchangeable I was thinking the steering wheel should be able to swap just the air bag and i dont know if the v has a dash clock like the 2004 g35 does.

a real JDM conversion means you become RHD. other than that, youre just swapping some badges. Not worth it.
I know rhd would be awesome but modifying the firewall im pretty sure is illegal in hawaii but I wanna switch out what I can to nissan or skyline until it doesnt have infiniti anywhere

I see I see. Switching to RHD is way to overpriced. Just buy a 350gt.

Why are people talking about RHD??? He is asking for a JDM conversion, nothing more.
I can help you out, I am an owner of a Japanese V35 350GT and am from Australia.
Here are a list of things to change:
Grille (the Nissan badge doesn't fit, you have to change the whole grille over)
Steering wheel cover (not sure how to take it off as there is a airbag under there).
Door sills say "skyline" instead of "Infiniti"
Nissan Badge on Trunk in place of Infiniti logo
"S K Y L I N E" inplace of "I N F I N I T I" on trunk
"350GT" inplace of "G35" on trunk
Engine cover
Rear tail lights with amber turn signals
Seats do not have brand stitching on them, probably not fixable
METRIC SPEDDO!! only goes to 180km/h also. Wouldn't bother.
Nissan centre caps on wheels.
Navigation screen also says Nissan on the front page, not really possible to change.
I am happy to swap you my Japanese navigation buttons with an English set if you wanna go full JDM lol
Other than that, that's really all there is. The only thing that might cost you a bit are rear tailights.
Check out a few at http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/
And no there is no dash clock on the V35, I think that is very much a Infiniti thing.

Thanks wingnut great info although my car didnt come with navigation sorry. But would you happen to know if the nissan 350z key is able to program to the g35 ecu? I dont see why not and maybe if I buy a v35 steering wheel airbag I think it might be interchangeable with the infiniti one idk any one have info or tried this before?

That saves a few steps then lol without having the navigation. Haven't heard of anyone changing the steering wheels over but from what I hear is that the airbags are different too. Airbags in Japan and elsewhere are designed to effective when the driver is wearing a seatbelt. My understanding is that in the US, airbags are designed to still be useful without a seatbelt but I'm not sure about specifics. However this could just be an urban legend. Also, if you have cruise control you would have to transplant it from your old steering wheel as no V35's had cruise control.Originally Posted by westsideblu

This guy has done a switchblade key conversion for a G35 http://my350z.com/forum/audio-video-...-flip-key.html
Maybe they could be the same steering wheel just in japan the seatbelt might engage the gsensor to be active when buckled? Idk unless some one has tried only one way for me to find out haha and mine does have cruise control so I hope the airbags are interchangeable thanks for the link by the way gonna check it out right now
