no need to waste ur time and energy defending the same thing over and over. jus let us haters have our fun and we will move on eventually. ..aren't u tired? lol

Its not that im defending myself and my personal actions. I dont mind plastidip... The reason to why I speak out a little more often is to up my post count.

But really, its because some of us are harsh to the newcomers here. I know that I have ripped into a few of newcomers a time or two..... I also know that a lot some people see plastidipped cars more than others. The general consensus on g35driver is that we dont like plasti dip. Why I speak out a little more often on dipping threads is simply so that the people who think of doing it do it right. I am more than willing to walk someone through how to dip their car. IF THEY DO IT RIGHT.. Thats all. Also, im not tired of it. Its better and more fun to me than explaining drop, if wheels fit, etc.

Wow. I'm actually impressed. That looks pretty damn good.

And honestly who gives a shiiiit about what people think, no one liked my car when it was wrapped, I loved it.

I agree I don't care what people think that much. I just can't stress doing dip right enough. You get good results that way, but 90 percent of people fail at it and still roll on it. Saywat I can grab close ups tomorrow.

I used oracle gloss black vinyl on the overhead wakerack on my brothers 35ft sea ray. Unfortunately the vinyl did not stretch or hold on curves well so Ill be removing it this summer and going to just plasti-dip it gloss black. Ive used a lot of vinyl on vehicles and just about everything but the oracle stuff we used just did not co-operate. I'm sure a different brand of vinyl would work well but spending 4+ hours wrapping and still requiring a seam or two vs plasti-dip is a no brainer in my book for that application.

I look forward to reading and viewing your build thread later to see more info on applying it properly etc for a smooth finish.

Same here. I feel like it follows the same rules as regular painting. Prep is everything. Next is making sure you do not use too much in too little time (run off liquid). Everyone that does it has crazy issues with orange peel that I've seen. Guitarrocker is about the only one who I've been happy with the paint quality. MAKE A THREAD ON QUALITY PDIP PAINTS GUITARROCKER!*!*!*!

Question dude.
With the dip how are your reflections on the car. Much like a vinyl roof compared to a painted one the reflections are distorted. From the pics I see it's not as clear as paint imo but what's your take on it

From what Ive seen even with really nice vinyls the reflection is never as crystal clear as it would be for a professional paint job after a nice cut and buff. Ive wrapped a lot in vinyl just not a lot of car stuff. The gloss materials I've used are nice but its not going to be a clear as day reflection like a really nice paint job would be. But then again even using nice materials you could wrap an entire car for <$700 in materials on avg. This is why I tend to prefer the matte options personally but its all opinion in the end.

I cant state on the Plastidip option as i haven't really tinkered with it much.
